Here is the land of these masterpieces of nature, the Tsingy of Bemaraha or the ruiniform massifs of Isalo. Crossing its large areas is like opening a book on several features of the Malagasy culture, let alone the permanent communion with the ancestors. The southwest is also synonymous of a fabulous submarine universe with one of the longest coral barriers in the world. Its vegetation, "B" standing for Baobabs and the Bush, makes it the promised land for naturalists

Zombitse Vohibasia National parks, well known by ornithologists. Ilakaka, once small anonymous, is now a mushroom village which has stemmed from the saphire fever. Isalo, one of the most stunning tourist curiosities in Madagascar with its relief sculpted by erosion. A number of tours may be organized, from the easiest, lie the well known one the natural swimming-pool, to the most demanding.

Ifaty and Mangily, resorts which are very much enjoyed by diving amateurs, 26Km to the north of Tulear. Andavadoaka, 50Km from Morombe, its wild creeks and coral reefs. Day 1 ANTANANARIVO - ANTSIRABE

Drive southward to Antsirabe through the typical landscape of the highland.Stop at the Antsahabe village of the Merina tribe. The local population on this village is living on agriculture and on making handcrafts from Raphia fiber. Installation at the hotel

Day 2 ANTSIRABE - AMBOSITRA

City tour of the town of Antsirabe: visit of the shops of semi-precious stones. Continuatoin to Ambositra. Ambositra is the capital of the Malagasy handcrafts and the town is mainly well known on wood carving. Visit of the shop and possibility of looking the local people carving hoursContinuation to Ambohimahasoa after the visit which is a two hours drive from Ambositra where you'll have the opportunity to have a Malagasy lunch accompanied by a folkloric entertainment

Day 3 AMBOSITRA - RANOMAFANA

All days spent for exploring Ranomafana National Park. In the morning visit within the rain forest of Ranomafana national park for spotting birds and lemurs. The species of Bamboo lemurs might be spotted during the visit (Grey bamboo lemur, Golden bamboo lemur and the greater bamboo lemur). Other species as the Milen's Edwards sifaka, common brown lemur, red bellied lemur might be also spotted during the visit as well as different endemic species of birds as the wood rail, brown mesite, crossley's babbler, Hensts goshawk, Pitta like ground roller, velvet asity, the Pigmy kingfisher... Visit of the village of Ranomafana. Nocturnal visit to spot the different species of lemurs active during the night as the mousse lemur, woolly lemur the carnivorous Fosa. Overnight at the hotel Setam Lodge.

Day 4 FIANARANTSOA - AMBALAVAO - RANOHIRA

Drive back to the highland crossing the town of Fianarantsoa, the capital of the Betsileo tribe. Visit of the vineyard of Lazan'ny Betsileo on the way. Arrival in Ambalavao; visit of the antemoro paper factory the transfert to the Anja reserve where you can spot easily the ring tailed lemur. Pic-nic lunch on the way. Continuation to Ranohira in the afternoon, different photo stop on the way: the south gate which is well known as the border between the highland and the south, the bishops hat, the Horombe table land where the Reunion Harrier bird as well as the African Marsh owl might be spotted. Arrival in Ranohira by the end of the afternoon. Installation at Satrana lodge.

Day 5 ISALO

Transfert to the parking area where you are starting walking towards the Namaza canyon in visiting its black and blue pool and the frogs waterfall. Possibility of spotting the ring tailed lemur, the black and white Verreaux's Sifaka which well known as the dancing lemur, the red fronted brown lemur. During the visit you might spot some birds species as Madagascar Hoopoe, common newtonia, and the endemic specie like the Benson's Rock thrush, and with chance the juvenile long eared owl. Back to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, visit of the Museum and then enjoying the sunset at the natural rock formation known as the window of Isalo. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 TULEAR

Drive to Tulear through the Savannah, view of the colorful Mahafaly tribe passing by the biggest deposit of sapphire in the island. Landscape of spiny forest as euphorbe tree, didierae tree, cactus... Arrival in Tuléar you will follow the coast road north, watching the Vezo people fishing on the coast in their canoes to stay in the wonderful beach hotel "Les Dunes"
